Language Arts: Discussed the importance, again, of showing not telling. It is essential in producing a strong narrative piece. Students should write that "movie they have in their mind" instead of just telling us about the event as a retelling. Working on sentence fluency was also addressed- see above for an example. Also seen above, the two main mentor texts for memoir writing we are using in class.
